I had such fun with Jamie and Ted last weekend for their engagement session. They are a fun loving couple. They like to laugh and it is a breath of fresh air to photograph couples who are so fun! Jamie and Ted are getting married on 9/8 at Gearhart Beach. Heather will be photographing their coastal wedding. Ted and Jamie are avid fisherpeople and I hear their is some amazing fishing details planned for their wedding!

Rebekah And Jeff Engagement Session / Pearl District / Portland Wedding Photographer
I met Rebekah and Jeff in downtown Portland and then we made a hop, skip and a jump over to the Pearl District. We spent some time at Jamison Square and walking the streets of the Pearl District. We had a really good time running around Portland and getting to know each other better. They are a sweet couple and another super successful union courtesy of eHarmony. They are getting married May 27th and I am really excited to spend their special day with them.
Lilly And Mike Engagement Session / Dawson Creek Park / Portland Wedding Photographer
Lilly and Mike met me at Dawson Creek Park in Hillsboro for their engagement session. They brought along their three active and fun-loving kiddos. Lilly is a stay-at-home mom and I know she is a busy mom chasing after these three! Lilly and Mike are getting married on June 16th and I can’t wait for their wedding. Lilly is a natural in front of the camera. She just soaks it up! I love their love story…Mike and his dad were regulars at the sushi restaurant where Lilly worked as a waitress. It’s a boy meets girl in sushi restaurant story. I had a great time with Lilly, Mike and their family!
Angela And Chris Engagement
Well, this has been a strange Spring and certainly putting me behind schedule in engagements! Had a fun session with Angela and Chris yesterday at Dawson Creek Park. Angela and Chris love hiking, camping, riding motorcycles and hanging out with their super cute sidekick Bruno! They went on their first date at Pastinia Pasteria then to a movie – “The King’s Speech” and Chris fell asleep! Angela and Chris are a beautiful couple together and Bruno completes them. Had a great time and looking forward to their wedding day on May 19th!
Glamour And Photography Of Women
I have been thinking a lot lately about what drives my photography and I am realizing that behind every image I take, there is always a woman. Even when I take images of cute little babies, there is always a woman who is cooing and saying “ahhh…” to that baby who is in focus in my viewfinder. I realize that I love photographing women and for women. It is the emotion that a woman feels when they see an image of their sweet little baby, the emotion a woman feels when they see the image of the moment the bride sees her groom for the first time and feels it all over again and the moment that a woman sees an image of herself looking and feeling beautiful…that is what I love!
I have been doing several glamour sessions over recent weeks with models and capturing some amazing images of these women. Whether you are 20, 40 or 70, women are beautiful and I love to capture the essence of who they are in their imagery.
